What Should I Do If My Car Has Been Stolen?
Follow these steps in the event that your vehicle has been stolen
According to the
latest annual crime statistics around 128 vehicles are stolen in South Africa every day. While the Covid19 lockdown did offer some respite, vehicle theft still remains a persistent danger for South African motorists. Unfortunately, for victims of vehicle theft, there is a fair bit of administration to do when reporting your vehicle as stolen. We've created a simple step-by-step graphic that will guide you through this process.

Once you have completed this process your vehicle will receive an "S" stamp on the SAPS database marking it as stolen. If you are fortunate enough to have your
stolen vehicle recovered there is, unfortunately, another administrative process to follow. You can find more information
here on the steps to follow should your stolen vehicle be recovered.
